Al-Jazira defeated Al-Qaisera 2-1, turning the game around in the opening match of the 16th round of the ADNOC Pro League. Al-Qaisara, led for the first time by Iraqi coach Ghazi Shamri, who replaced Serbian Vuk Razović, took the lead in the 4th minute thanks to a goal from Iranian Shahryar Mughanlo. However, Omar Traore equalized in the 46th minute, and then Congolese Simon Bansa scored the winner in the 77th minute. Al-Jazira strengthened its position in 5th place with 25 points, while Al-Qaisara remained in 11th place with 16 points. The relegation battle remains intense as Al-Bataih and Al-Dhafra drew 1-1. Al-Dhafra scored first with a penalty from Karim al-Barqawi (27), before Al-Bataih equalized.
